The beauty company’s success in Tennessee presents opportunities for Walmart

Blank Beauty has introduced Huey, an image-matching robot for custom nails, to Walmart.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis-based company Blank Beauty is bringing its custom paint mixing machine technology to one of the largest retail giants in the world: Walmart.

Blank Beauty created Huey, a robot that custom-mixes nail polish. You send photos to Huey online and the robot will match them.

If you would like to check out the color matching process, there is a Collierville Walmart location at 560 W Poplar Ave. There are also Huey robots in Franklin, Tennessee and Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The company’s CEO, Charles Brandon, said he developed the technology and raised capital to get the company off the ground. He then created a nail polish recipe that would entice the customer to come back. Eight years later, a world-class e-commerce site and retail device was launched.

Brandon believes Blank Beauty is revolutionizing the beauty industry by providing consumers with the best possible experience as a creator. Brandon said the customer doesn’t walk away with the technology in their pocket, but they do walk away with a beautiful branded product called Blank. that they created with their vision.
