The Israeli military campaign in Gaza has reached the Strip’s southernmost city – Rafah – where around 1.5 million Palestinians are sheltering.
Rafah is now one big refugee camp, populated by people who have fled from towns, refugee camps and villages further north.
After two hostages were rescued by an Israeli strike, the city was hit by heavy aerial bombardment.
