Adara Hotel Whistler

Adara-Hotel-Whistler-Bed

I had to head up to Whistler to work at a conference for a client and was supposed to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel with the rest of the company. As a contractor I was approved for that expense, but on closer inspection of the rate ($350CAD) I decided that there had to bed a better deal at Whistler in June. A quick survey of Travelocity found me The Adara Hotel for about $120CAD including taxes. The Four Seasons is a great hotel, but I prefer to stay somewhere with a bit more modern flair, and I would be free to allot the difference to a nice dinner out at Araxi.

The Adara is a cool boutique hotel in Whistler Village close to the lifts and the nightlife. The rooms have a cool modern vibe, and would be an awesome place to crash after a day on the slopes. Friendly staff and hip comfortable surroundings. The bed had a pretty deluxe mattress pad to boot. I was pretty happy with my decision not to pay the Four Seasons summer rate (which felt like a peak season rate to me, but probably wasn’t) and seek out a younger, hipper hotel. I’d recommend this to younger travellers anyday for it’s atmosphere and great location. Winter rates are bound to be a little pricier, but if you can swing it The Adara is the place to be.
