Pinterest is the latest internet social networking fad, and granted, I’ve been taken in. Much like Instagram it offers up a one dimensional easy to update and view service. Unfortunately it’s yet another social network to maintain and keep track of, but if you’re a user of the Chrome browser it’s a simple click of a button away.
To install the Chrome Pinterest plugin extension follow the instructions in the Google Chrome web store.
Every now and again I see something online that’s awesomely worthy of a repost. This is What Madeline Did has had hundreds of thousands of views and is a look at a year in her life in Los Angeles — inspiring, introspective, clever, and kind of poetic. The song in the video is All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem.

I finally earned the “I’m on a boat!” badge on FourSquare. If you’re wondering what the point is, that’s fine. I think half the point of foursquare for me is earning these stupid badges. It’s like boy scouts for older, lazier, less adventurous people!
It’s hard not to get on the Canucks bandwagon right now. The boys are on fire and so is Van city. There have been a number of fan made viral video and songs, and in a city with a deep talent pool, it was only a matter of time before some professionals stepped into the ring. Kyprios’ YouTube based Canuck tribute “How the West Was Won” is actually pretty cool. Next up Moka Only>?

Twitter is a point of much contention in my friend group. People either seem to think it is totally stupid and useless, or they don’t understand it, or they have grudgingly accepted it as a useful business tool, or they are super into it.
I too have struggled to figured out what Twitter is actually for. It seems a bit like Facebook in the way that you have friends, or in this case followers, but it has such limited ability to do anything. The fact that you can share only 140 characters at a time makes it the equivalent of an online text message.
About a year ago I decided to embrace Twitter and try and figure out what it’s all about. So what is the point of Twitter you might ask?
This has to be the most coveted of all Foursquare badges!? Check in with 3 members of the opposite sex and you get yourself one of these. While Foursquare may not improve your actual chances os “sealing the deal” at least you’ll be the envy of your Foursquare friends with this shiny new badge.
