Pull Love Riot Ads

Love wins, and so do the people involved in this now infamous photo from the Vancouver Stanley Cup riots in 2011.

I stumbled on this storefront ad for the Italian cardigan chain store Pull Love while wandering the main shopping drag in Florence. I would imagine that the subjects in this photo, and the photographer have done alright from this. What do you think? Selling out or cashing in?

1000 Reasons Why Italian Advertising is Better

I stumbled on this through the Digg site and absolutely loved it. I hesitated to post it here, but then realized that this is just part of Italian culture and that North American’s are prudish when it comes to sex and nudity. Violence is okay, but sex is not. It’s no wonder that we have so many problems here in North America. Of course the landscape of television in North America is changing with shows like Entourage, Weeds, The Sopranos, Dexter, etc, but it still feels like we are a bit backwards in that regard. What do you think? Do you think an ad like this could ever fly in Canada or the USA?
