Cactus Club Vancouver

When I’m in Vancouver I’m often working funny hours and I can always count on Cactus Club to be open late. I’ve lately taken to frequenting the Dunsmuir flagship location.

I have to say that I’m fairly anti-chain-restaurant, but Cactus Club has really stepped it up since taking on Rob Feenie. Their first Feenie menu was a ballsy departure from their previous steak and burger fare, but it has really set them apart. The wine list is also quite good with a good range of prices and a solid local wine offering. Cactus Club Kelowna takes this even further by offering a fairly extensive Okanagan wine list, and considering they are in one of the best wine regions in the world why wouldn’t they?

I’m not in Vancouver right now, but I just caught a preview of the new Cactus Club menu on John Chow’s blog, and it looks pretty good. Next time I’m in town I’ll have to check it out.
