I found this today while checking out the blog over at Egg Strategy. It’s a pretty priceless piece of viral marketing from Puma in the UK. Clearly they are trying to re-connect with their athletic roots after becoming a bit of a “fashionista hipster” brand.
The Puma marketing in the piece is subtle, but clear, and the idea of having a bunch of Guiness drinking blokes sing one of the most recognizeable sappy love ballads of all time is pure genius. Had they done this with an American cast it would not have been as successful. I think it’s the accent.
Like a train wreck I know you will watch with some sort of amazement, and to top it off, you probably know all of the words to Savage Garden’s Truly Madly Deeply.
