Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku Tokyo Hotel Review

Overall Impression
This hotel was awesome! The atmosphere in the lobby is sleek and modern, and the location is very central. The rooms are on the smaller size as can be expected in Tokyo, but they are more than adequate for the rate. People think Tokyo is expensive, but it can be affordable if you find the good buys. This hotel is definitely a good buy. While cheaper business hotels do exist, this one has a touch of luxury for not much more in price. The location is very close to Takashimaya Times Square at Shinjuku and is a great jumping off point to explore Tokyo.

Location
Super convenient and close to a many good things to do in Shinjuku. Other than that it is a quick train ride to most of the things you’ll want to see in Tokyo. Shinjuku is Tokyo’s largest train station, so trains leave frequently in every possible direction.

Amenities
Typical business amenities. Don’t expect a pool or gym.

Service
The front desk staff were very friendly. They spoke enough English, but were definitely not fluent.

Elevator Speed
No issues.

Atmosphere
Modern business

Bed Comfort
The bed was a bit smaller than a North American double, but still very comfortable

Internet
Free internet!

Room Cleanliness
The room was very clean

Toiletries
Average toiletries.

Yes.

Rates
I have seen rates anywhere from $100-$200 USD. I stayed on the lower end of that spectrum and have seen that fairly often.
